Helping you restore connection, safety, and hope…

Lovegrove Consulting

I founded my practice with a clear purpose: to create a safe, supportive space where individuals and families can work through challenges and rediscover their sense of balance. Drawing on years of experience in mental health and therapeutic work, I offer discreet, independent family therapy for Parents, Teenagers and Children throughout Cambridgeshire. I specialise in helping clients who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficulties in their relationships. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on building trust and tailoring each session to your unique needs.

From the very beginning, my passion has been to walk alongside people as they navigate life’s most difficult moments. I believe that lasting change comes from working together to uncover strengths, explore patterns, and develop practical strategies for growth. Whether I’m supporting adults, young people, or families, my goal is always to empower you with the tools and confidence to move forward with clarity and resilience.

I also recognise that for many people experiencing difficulties within their family, the idea of seeking help through the local authority or statutory systems can feel daunting or even unsafe. Concerns about privacy, visibility, or stigma can sometimes prevent families from reaching out at all. That’s why I offer discreet, independent family therapy service for Parents, Teenagers and Children outside of those systems, where you can access support in confidence and without unnecessary oversight. My role is to provide the same level of professionalism and safeguarding, while giving you the reassurance of a more personal and private approach.

Family Therapy

In-home therapeutic support for young people

We bring therapeutic support directly into the family home, offering children and young people a safe and familiar environment in which to explore their feelings and experiences. By working in-home, we reduce barriers to engagement and meet young people where they are most comfortable. Support is carefully tailored to the child’s age, needs, and circumstances, helping them to process emotions, develop coping strategies, and strengthen family relationships.

Parenting coaching and boundary setting

Parenting can be incredibly challenging, particularly when families are facing stress, trauma, or ongoing conflict. We provide coaching and practical guidance to help parents establish clear, consistent boundaries while maintaining warmth and connection. This service empowers parents with new strategies for communication, structure, and problem-solving, building confidence and supporting healthier family dynamics.

Crisis intervention and safety planning

When families experience crisis, timely and effective intervention is vital. We work quickly and sensitively to de-escalate difficult situations, ensuring immediate safety while creating a practical, personalised plan for moving forward. Our focus is on stabilising the environment, protecting all family members, and putting support structures in place to prevent issues from escalating further.

Emotional mentoring and goal-focused support

Some young people need ongoing encouragement, guidance, and a trusted adult presence outside of the family system. Through emotional mentoring, we provide consistent support that helps young people build self-esteem, manage challenges, and stay motivated. Our goal-focused approach encourages them to set achievable aims, develop resilience, and take positive steps towards personal growth and independence.

Guidance navigating local services and the safeguarding system

Families often find statutory systems difficult to understand and overwhelming to navigate. We offer clear, professional guidance to help you engage with local services, from safeguarding to education and health. Where families prefer to avoid unnecessary public visibility within the system, we also provide a discreet and independent service, ensuring you can access help in a confidential and supportive way while still being fully informed of your options.

Support plans, Reporting & Expert Witness

We provide high-quality documentation and professional assessments to support families in safeguarding processes, care planning, or legal proceedings. Our reports are clear, thorough, and focused on the best interests of the child, giving professionals and families the information they need to make informed decisions. We can also act as expert witnesses, offering evidence-based insights and specialist recommendations in court or multi-agency contexts.
